Emergency service workers may find themselves driving on low-traction surfaces (i.e. snow, mud, grass, dirt, sand) where both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive vehicles handle differently than on-pavement. Many of the low-traction/low-speed techniques we teach can be applied to various driving scenarios. NORA has trained emergency service teams at our Ellenville training center as well as at client locations. Drivers who are trained in low-traction techniques & safety may be more effective performing their jobs while avoiding dangerous scenarios, costly vehicle damage and vehicle recovery fees.
We work with your training staff to develop one or more classes for your needs. We can hold instruction at our Ellenville training center or at your location (additional fees may apply). We can arrange an on-site visit where decision makers can see our training center first hand, review options and build a class or program. In most cases we can use your vehicles during training, or we can provide a NORA rental vehicle.
Low Traction Fundamentals Includes:
1 hour on-site classroom
3 hours on-site training on low traction driving skills for 2wd and 4wd vehicles
Priced at $395 per person using your own provided vehicle. Minimum 2 participants
NORA rentals available at $200 per vehicle, up to 4 participants per vehicle.
Custom Training Programs
We often work with clients to customize a program based on their needs including driving skills paired with vehicle-to-vehicle & self-recovery techniques using a variety of recovery gear. Help your team members learn and experience these skills safely before they need to use them in the field.
