Who: This class is highly recommended for anyone interested in Overlanding and recreational off-road driving.

– Vehicle & equipment selection
– Sleeping gear options
– Woodland trail driving skills
– Vehicle recovery basics
– Vehicle maintenance basics
– Meal options
– Excursion planning
– Emergency preparedness
– Additional related topics
This class includes an evening campfire presentation and discussion with NORA staff. Hear experiences including guide Anthony’s 74-day Overland trip from NY to the Pacific Northwest in 2019.
Students are invited to primitive camp at NORA.
Pandemic Related: All students must wear a mask or face covering as per order by NYS. The classroom portion may be held in our training center or under our outdoor pavilion depending on class size and social distancing requirements.
Vehicle Requirements: Bring your stock (unmodified) or modified 4 wheel drive vehicle with 4-low. Vehicle must be street legal, registered, insured and drivers must have a valid license.
Vehicle Rentals: Rent a NORA trail rig for the class; contact us to confirm availability before registering.

2020-2021 Refund Policy: If NORA cancels a class/tour for any reason you will receive full credit toward another NORA event through Dec 2021. You may cancel one-time for any reason with 72 hours written notice and receive full credit toward a NORA event through Dec 2021. No cash refunds will be issued.
