Class: Off-Road Driving Essentials OR Snow Trail Driving
Length: 6 hours: 9am-3pm (about 4 hrs driving time)
Methods: Indoor classroom, driving & lessons on obstacle courses, driving & lessons on beginner & intermediate trails. NORA instructors and guides are by your side the entire day.
Who: This class is an excellent choice for drivers with no off-road driving experience, or drivers looking to refresh/refine their existing off-road driving skills.
What’s Covered:
Off-Road Driving Essentials: This 6 hour class covers 4 wheel drive systems, driving on different types of terrain, basics of getting unstuck, spotter hand signals, minimizing environmental impact and off-road driving safety. Students drive on our obstacle courses and navigate our woodland trail networks with instructors and guides walking by their side. There are plenty of natural terrain obstacles used as lesson stops along the way.
Winter Trail & Recovery: This class includes all the above along with snow recovery scenarios. This will give you a more in-depth experience driving/recovering in the snow but will result in less driving time on the trails.
Vehicle Requirements: Bring your stock (unmodified) or modified 4 wheel drive vehicle with 4-low. Vehicle must be street legal, registered, insured and drivers must have a valid license.
Vehicle Rentals: Rent a NORA trail rig for the class; contact us to confirm availability before registering. $175 for a Jeep Grand Cherokee, $275 for a Jeep Wrangler.
Lunch on the trail is included: We have supported our local economy for many years by offering lunch selections from local markets.
Please allow up to 48 hours after registration checkout to receive an email with additional class details. Contact info@nora4x4.com if you do not receive it (remember to check your spam folder).
