Class Offerings for 2016
Northeast Off-Road Adventures, Inc. operates an off-road driving school at our private facility in New York’s beautiful Catskill Mountains. Our classes are offered each month on select weekends in the spring, summer and fall. All classes include a seminar followed by a low-speed instructor led trail ride on our private 68 acre trail network. Learn to responsibly navigate your street legal 4-wheel drive vehicle through various types of terrain. Students should arrive at the school at 9am and expect to be finished around 4pm. Lunch is included and provided by local vendors. Private classes for individuals or groups are available; please contact us for additional information, gift certificates are available.

Basics & Beginner (9am – 4pm)
Our ‘Basics & Beginner’ class focuses on core off-road driving skills and safety. We start in the morning learning about 4 wheel drive systems, working with a spotter, reviewing driving terrain and discussing safety considerations. We are soon getting acclimated to 4-LOW driving on our obstacle courses, then we hit the trails for 4+ hours of driving and lessons in the woods. Our instructors and guides are by your side the entire time. Lunch on the trail is included.
Ride-A-Long Option – Want to experience a class but don’t have 4-Low? You can “ride-a-long” as a passenger with one of our guides. This is a full day getaway for up to three guests in one of our vehicles. This option has limited availability, please contact us for details.
Advanced Skills Training (9am – 4pm)
This class takes your driving skills to the next level. More focus on advanced driving technique to help you handle bigger obstacles, combined with reviews of safe winching best practices and use of the Hi-Lift Jack. Trail ride will require lifted vehicles and 32″ tires or bigger as we tackle more advanced obstacles. A winch and lockers are recommended, frame mounted front and rear recovery points are mandatory. Lunch on the trail is included.
Beginner Recovery – The Right Stuff (9am – 4pm)
This class is a must for anyone driving off-road. Being stuck is inevitable, but it’s no big deal if you have the right equipment and the right skills. Class instruction includes hands on training with common recovery gear under the guidance of our certified instructors. This full day recovery class covers hands-on instruction on safe winching technique, use of a Hi-Lift Jack and much more. We provide all the training gear. Bring your 4WD vehicle or ride-a-long with our guides. Lunch on the trail is included.
Trail Repair (9am – 4pm)
