These family friendly events do not require any previous off-road driving experience but vehicles must have 4-Low gearing and recovery points. ‘Factory fresh’ and modified (lifts, bigger tires, etc.) vehicles are welcome. These tours are a great way to learn about and enjoy your 4×4 street legal vehicle’s off road capabilities. NORA staff are with you the entire day guiding, informing and contributing to a fun experience.

Driving Tour & Challenge (Friday 9am-3pm): Start the weekend early and get off road! This guided driving tour explores select trails throughout Hunter’s vast lower trail network. After honing your off road driving technique, NORA staff help you navigate your vehicle through a series of low-speed driving skills challenges where you earn points for precision control of your vehicle. This is a fun activity for individuals and groups to challenge themselves and others. Note tour does not include the summit ascent or summit trails.
Priced at $375 per vehicle for one day, includes all passengers.

Driving Tour & Summit (Saturday 9am-3pm): Whether you have experience driving off road or have never done it before, our classic guided scenic 4×4 driving tour at Hunter Mountain is designed to provide hours of great views and varying rugged terrain.  This is not hardcore rock crawling, but rather a fun adventure day driving on a ski mountain (service & logging roads, forest and ski trails) as you learn about your vehicles 4-Low capabilities. Includes lower trails, an ascent to the summit and summit trails. A ride on Hunters sky ride chair lift is included at no charge, if operational. If you get stuck NORA’s trail guides are there to help you get going again.
Priced at $375 per vehicle for one day, includes all passengers.

2-Day Tour w/Challenge & Summit (Friday & Saturday): Enjoy two days of off road adventure! Experience both days at a discounted price of $700 per vehicle, includes all passengers. Discount only applies at time of registration.

IMPORTANT: Driving on the Hunter Mtn trail network is only accessible through a NORA driving tour. Unescorted vehicles on the trails are trespassing and occupants may be prosecuted.

Credit only (valid for 1 year), no refunds. 4×4 driving tour only, not applicable to other Hunter activities & lodging.
7 days prior to class date: Full credit
6 days up to day before class date: Full credit less $50 service fee
Day of class – 50% credit

[1] We reserve the right to cancel the event (up to 24 hours prior to start) due to forecast for extreme inclement weather, not meeting the minimum guest count, or safety related concerns. If cancelled, you will receive full credit toward another tour or another NORA event good for 12 months.
[2] Hunter Mountain and Northeast Off-Road Adventures are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle before, during or after the tours.
[3] Full size trucks will not be able to navigate the summit forest trails. Occupants will either wait at the summit (about 20 minutes) or may ride in guide vehicles if space is available.
