This class is recommended as a follow-up to our Intro to Off Road Driving class (4DRV-101 or 4DRV-102) and continues to focus on driving technique. Your NORA instructor is in the lead vehicle as the group follows through much of the trail network driven in our Essentials driving (4DRV-201) class and additional terrain. There are integrated stops along the trail as your instructor coaches the group through more challenging trail obstacles with rocks, ledges and trees on NORA’s private trail system. While this is not a vehicle recovery specific class, recovery (under NORA instructors guidance) may be needed, especially in wet/low traction conditions.

Length: 4 hours on-site + Coach & Drive Preparation online video to be viewed prior to onsite.
Location: Onsite training is held at our Ellenville, NY Training Center.
Who: This family friendly class is an excellent option for anyone wishing to gain more experience with low speed off road driving techniques used in Overlanding and recreational/commercial off road driving. This is also a great family fun experience.
Off Road Driving Experience Level: This class for students with experience driving off road in 4-Low.
What’s Covered: This class includes an overview of common 4 wheel drive controls, driving on woodland terrain, working with a spotter, minimizing environmental impact and off-road driving safety. Students navigate terrain including rocks, tight woodland trails and hills and off-camber sections.
Requirements: Bring your stock (unmodified) or modified 4 wheel drive vehicle with 4-low and front/rear recovery points.  Vehicle must be street legal, registered & insured. Drivers must have a valid drivers license.
Vehicle Rentals: Rent a NORA trail rig for the class; contact us to confirm availability before registering.
