Private Snow Trail Driving Instruction
January – March
Driving and recovering vehicles on snow covered mountain terrain offers challenges above typical off road driving. This training is trail condition dependent and booking requires some scheduling flexibility. NORA provides support vehicles and recovery gear. Snow trail driving requires a NORA trail rig rental if student vehicles do not have MT or AT tires & front/rear recovery points. Private snow trail driving class includes your choice of a live or recorded online presentation, onsite obstacle course & trail driving under supervision of instructors and guides. Use your own vehicle, a NORA trail rig (included) or switch between vehicles throughout the day. All training is safety focused with themes of people, vehicle and environmental preservation. All of your onsite time at NORA will be outdoors or in your own vehicle.
This two-part class (virtual presentation & onsite instruction) covers 4 wheel drive systems, driving on woodland and mountain terrain, working with a spotter, minimizing environmental impact and off-road driving safety. Students drive on our obstacle courses and navigate snow covered trails with instructors and guides walking by their side. Natural terrain obstacles are used as lesson stops along the way.
