Sun, June 8: 9am – 1pm
Sat, Sep 13: 9am – 1pm
All Wheel Drive vehicle technology continues to advance. Improved traction control algorithms, upgraded OEM suspension components and higher ground clearance permit these vehicles to handle admirably on the trails. While NORA has held private training for AWD vehicles for many years, we now also offer public group trail driving and recovery classes for this capable drivetrain platform. This class teaches you off road driving techniques to get past obstacles with focus on vehicle preservation and safety. The classes include obstacle courses and trail driving with lessons on the trail.
This class builds on lessons from our AWD-101 class and helps prepare you for overland travel by focusing on driving skills on technical terrain along with some basic recovery skills. Learn and experience taking your AWD vehicle on steep hills, off camber and tight forest terrain. Obstacle courses & more technical terrain, low-speed driving with precision control.
Length: 4 hours on-site
Location: Onsite training is held at our Ellenville, NY Training Center.
Who: This family friendly class is an excellent introduction for anyone wishing to learn safe, low-speed trail driving techniques used in Overlanding and accessing well established trails. This is also a great family fun experience.

Students drive our obstacle courses and navigate a technical trail drive with instructors walking by their side. Onsite terrain includes driving over rocks, tight woodland trails and hill sections.
